About Add Agility
Add Agility are based out of Southampton and London in the UK
Origin
We were formed in 2018 by a small group of programme managers, agile coaches and trainers who had been repeatedly brought in on failed Agile and DevOps transformations. We had all seen people doing agile for the sake of doing agile, using all the jargon but getting no benefit.
Watching things be slower and more painful than they needed to be, and everyone seemed unhappy. It annoyed us as we could see real opportunity to improve.
We also recognised that a lone agile coach was rarely the answer. We are yet to meet a coach who was an expert in every discipline. For most cases it was not a pure coach that was required. Most teams needed someone more hands-on to pick up some of the extra work that is needed for real change, not just offer coaching and guidance.
So Add Agility was formed, to offer a more complete package involving training, coaching and doing than most of our competitors.

Progression
1. Over the years as we found more clients with more challenges to solve it became less about agile and more about how we can help our clients do more with less. We still very much practice agile, and continue to offer agile training but it is no more it is the only thing we do. We also found that because our people are very very good many clients want longer term arrangements. So we started offering staff augmentation and some of our staff stayed on keep standards high.
2. In 2021 we started to offer staff augmentation. Skilled teammates who can work efficiently with little supervision. To work alongside your existing staff.
3. Finally in 2022 we went remote. A little late to the party but we acknowledged that some clients want fully remote so we adapted once more to also provide skills in Eastern Europe.
Where we are now
We supplied skilled workers to solve problems for clients in the UK and the US. Most of our people are on site a few days a week but for clients that prefer fully remote we have a near shore capability based out of Eastern Europe.
Our focus is always adding agility to our clients capability but sometimes we recognise that is just providing capable headcount.

Add Agility is privately owned
This matters.
We don’t have a parent company or venture capitalist investors applying pressure to maximise profits. Nor do we ever plan to be. Our values are to always do what is right by the customer even
if it’s less profitable. We are committed to doing the right thing for our clients.
Lean and agile by nature
Our senior partners have over a century of experience between them. We know what makes a difference to our clients and what does not. So our overheads are low, here are a few examples.
Pay as you go offices.
ever been hosted at a vendors office? Those buildings are expensive, and require maintenance. This overhead has to be added to the daily rate either inflating your costs or leaving less money to pay the people who do the work. When we need an office we use the Barclays eagle labs network. This gives us offices all over the country as and when we need them.
No phone number.
Ditching our landline feels like a stranding thing to boast about. However in the 6 years we had one not a single client called it. They just called their account manager directly. All we received on the public number was a steady stream of sales calls. So in 2025 we removed it and no one noticed and we saved considerable time per months.
Simple contract and fast turn around.
Our proposals start with the financials, the contracts are in as plain English as possible, and the paperwork required to get started is as small as possible. We pride Add Agility on being easy to work with. We are here to solve problems not make them.
